Karam received his Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree in 2002. Prior to that he had received his Bachelor of Science degree, with a major in Biology, from the University of Waterloo in 1997. Since then, he has taught part-time at the Canadian College of Medicine in the areas of Anatomy, Differential Diagnosis and in the Foundations of Naturopathic Medicine.
